Connected.
Meaningful. Yours.
I’ll encourage you to connect to the moment — documenting the unfiltered moments that truly capture what it is to be a mom. Together, we’ll forego trends in exchange for honest experiences. If you’re seeking an opportunity to remember these days without the stress, I encourage you to get in touch. My approach blends comfort with safety as we go with the flow, guided by your baby and your needs as a family.
Your nursery, the dogs, your partner, and siblings too — your photos should include elements that are real and memorable. The way you feel in that cozy nursery nook or how your family interacts. Let’s bring the environment in, as opposed to Photoshopping it out.
I know it and I feel it too — all you want are photos that show your connection with the baby. Rather than take the baby from your arms, I’ll let you nurture, care for, and tend to your newborn while I document the tenderness of it all.
There’s no elaborate posing here. This is our opportunity to capture the baby exactly as they are in the first moments. You’ll hang onto these memories for the rest of their life. No thrills, just connection. I promise, one mom to another, these are the kind of photos you’ll identify with the most as a parent.
+ Indoor session
+ Approximately 50 high resolution images
+ Online gallery for simple downloading + sharing
+ 8x10 photo book with 20 pages
+ (2) 5x7 prints
Held in the comfort of your own home, these sessions are centered around one thing — connection. To that end, we’ll forego props or harshly lit studios. This allows you to just exist and for us to really capture the profound reality of a new baby being welcomed into a family. Parents, siblings, dogs — the whole pack is invited.
Pricing:
$590 + tax
+ Mini maternity session with 15-20 high resolution digital files
+ Full in-home newborn session with a minimum of 50 high resolution digital files + (2) 5 x 7 Prints
+ 8x10 photo album with 30 pages including photos from both sessions
Honor this time in your life with two photography sessions — one for maternity honoring pregnancy and one for newborn photos. This is one of the best ways to slow down and take it all in as your family gets a new addition.
$690 + tax
My priority is a safe and healthy baby. Happy, sleepy, crying, or awake — we don’t get to choose how the baby feels during our session, but we can encourage a calm and cozy environment. Rather than ask you to clean the house or bump up the thermostat, I’ll encourage you to go about your normal snuggles and feeding. Here are some of the memories we can capture during your newborn photography session.
+ Holding your newborn in your arms
+ The two of you as parents soaking up the first moments with your newborn
+ Your newborn’s milk-drunk smiles, snoozes or stretches
+ Siblings spending their first moments together
+ Your dogs sniffing, licking and getting used to the new addition

…MaryBeth came into our home and made us feel so comfortable. I wasn’t worried about my home being perfect, or my hair and makeup being done, or making sure my newborn and my dog were going to cooperate. MaryBeth was so kind and patient and did a wonderful job working around baby’s schedule and capturing candid moments of our new little family (including our camera shy border collie)! My husband, whose not a picture guy AT ALL, loves how well the photos turned out and made sure we booked her for our first family session this fall.”
“MARYBETH IS AN OUTSTANDING PHOTOGRAPHER!
Brittany F | Spokane, WA 2021
Turn around time is incredibly timely and her artistic style is really genuine, photojournalistic with deep colors and contrast. She captures moments I don't even notice are happening and they end up being some of my favorite shots. Lastly, the prints and albums are exceptional quality....even better than the online gallery. MB was the first photographer to convince me of this and now I'll never go back to storing beautiful photos on thumb drives and never looking at them again.”

“MaryBeth did our family photos and it was a great experience! I was worried about my young kids and newborn cooperating. She got down on their level. Nothing was rushed and as a result we have some of the best family pictures ever! Would definitely recommend her as your next photographer!”

I mean the pictures are nice but I figured it really wasn’t worth spending the money. Boy was I wrong! She cared so much about capturing Fenris for who he is and our genuine relationship. I can’t wait to have a session with my other dog! 💖 I really encourage anyone in the Spokane area to check her out! I ordered 7 prints; they are all high quality, glossy photo paper and look amazing framed. If you look on her website at her portfolio, her pictures of humans are pretty good too ;)”
This experience completely changed my mind about professional photo shoots with my dogs
CM 2021 | Cannon Beach, OR
Do not hesitate! I have 2 special needs dogs which can make some photographers nervous, but this was far from the case! It was so fun, calm and just a great day. Not to mention the pictures are perfection!!! I take photos yearly; these are my all time favorites!”

All of the hope, love, and dreams — they’re right there in the photos. Experience them in a tangible form by framing your photos. It makes for a captivating nursery centerpiece and the album you bring home might become that baby’s favorite book to flip through as a toddler.
The photos from your newborn photography session will be in your inbox 2-4 weeks after the session. You’ll easily be able to download, share, and soak up the photos from your phone or computer (and with your baby still in your arms).
I’ll come to you, and please don’t even insist on cleaning the house or putting on makeup. This life is beautiful in its current state. There’s a newborn in your arms and that is the only thing we need. We’ll go with the flow, stopping when you or the baby needs it, and continuing on from there with gentle, unscripted photos.
I know bringing home a baby is both a blessing and a dose of chaos. Just let me know within a week or so of your baby’s arrival so we can book a convenient date for you.
Newborns make their own plans without telling us, so we’ll pick out a tentative date knowing that we can adjust for your baby (or you!). 1 week old or 2 months old, we’ll take these photos when you feel ready and the baby is here! All I ask is that you pay your deposit and fill out your contract so as to ensure that I’m available for the 1 to 2 month timeframe of your due date.
Fill out my simple contact form and I’ll be in touch with full session details. If need be, we can chat on the phone about the session and what to expect. I serve families in Spokane, Central and Eastern, Washington State

After your baby is here, we’ll pick a day and time that is best for you. Some moms choose to take photos within the first week or two when the baby is sleepy and easier to photograph. However, others wait a few weeks until they’re a little more settled in and we can get shots of your baby interacting, smiling, and really experiencing his or her first moments with you. I’ve got your back if you need help deciding on the best time for you and your family.

I lean towards documenting raw, candid moments, but that doesn’t mean I won’t give you some direction. However, when it comes to newborn babies, less is more and I fully believe in letting the baby guide our session. Expect gentle adjustments and prompts while we create a safe space for baby and catch real moments as they unfold.

03. What’s your posing style?
1000% yes. Your dogs are your original babies and I fully believe we should hold space for them at our newborn photo shoots too!
Shooting with dogs in a home environment can be a bit tricky as they aren't sure about someone coming into their space with a large device in front of their face. PLUS a new baby can equal stress.
However, after shooting most of my sessions with dogs I've learned a few tricks. The most important one is to give them space and let them naturally flow in the session.

04. Can I include my dogs?
You have two opportunities to order professional wall art and products. When you first receive your booking proposal, you'll see options to add on art packages. This is the best time to bundle items together at the best rate.
After you receive your gallery, you will have access to a custom store for your photos. At this time you can order prints, metals, canvases and other premium quality photo products. All products bought through your store are high quality and additionally retouched for long lasting enjoyment.
Generally maternity photos are best between 30 to 34 weeks.
