Have you hiked around Liberty Lake Regional Park recently? If not, you’re missing out. This park is a not-so-hidden, photo-worthy gem (but often overlooked) location close to Spokane. There are miles of trails, shaded grassy lawns, and a diverse ecosystem that offers endless exploring for children. I was super excited about an opportunity to have a Liberty Lake family photography session there this spring. Read on to hear more about this fun spot and a few photos from the day.
Family Photos at Liberty Lake
As a Spokane photographer serving the Inland Northwest, my goal is to hold space for your family to show up as they are. Often the best way to do this is by hitting the trail and letting kids be kids. My favorite sessions are the ones that feel more like an exploration of the space around us than a perfect curated portrait. This Liberty Lake session hit the mark for me.
The way families show up for eachother always inspires me. Sometimes it can feel super messy, disorganized, and chaotic, but I see a lot of beauty and strength behind the lens. This family was both beautiful (inside and out) and strong.
Parenting is TOUGH! Parenting two small children is even more challenging. However, watching these little boys interact with their parents, I can tell that even amidst the crud this world is tossing at our families right now in 2020, they are still thriving.
