THE AFTERMATH OF THE FAMILY PHOTO SESSION
When I walk out of your home or leave our location, the first stop is my computer, where I meticulously store the moments we’ve just captured. Those backups? They happen not once, not twice, but three times, syncing with my fortress-like business cloud storage overnight. So, no sweat; your photos are safe and sound.
A sneak peek into my creative cave — while your photos are backed up, I allow them to breathe for three days before I dive into editing and culling. Why? It’s simple – I want a fresh perspective, an objective eye when I look at them next.
On the fourth day, I take a swift pass at the photos, keeping everything crisp, and eliminating repeats. And then, your family photos stand in line, ready to be touched up and transformed into stunning color, and storytelling black and white.
In this sea of images, I’m on the hunt for more than just the perfect group shot; I’m looking for the little moments, the raw emotions, the details that narrate your unique family story. And photos of the dog of course (there will be many of those if you brought one).
The result? A sprawling gallery that’s not just about the best shots, but about the intricate, heartfelt narrative of your family’s life.
FINDING YOUR WAY AROUND THE ONLINE GALLERY FOR YOUR FAMILY PHOTO SESSION
When you booked your session with MB Bryant Images, an online portal sprung to life. It’s your personal space where all the questionnaires, invoices, contracts hang out. And the cherry on top? Your soon-to-be-delivered gallery will be right there too.
Your gallery is loaded with high-res images, all available for download. Grab them all at once or pick your favorites to download individually. However, consider backing them up on your computer too, unless you fancy your phone being taken over by our photoshoot! See below for a screenshot of where to grab the downloads.
Keep in mind, galleries have a 30-day window, so make sure you save your images while they’re still there.
The Adventure of Your Family’s Photo Book
Being a family photographer, I’m a firm believer in the tangible magic of printed photos. Sure, digital shots are handy, but they also run the risk of getting lost in the digital maze. To keep the magic alive, every family session comes with a custom photo book — a raw, real chronicle of your family’s journey. It’s my favorite part of the process.
Once your gallery is live, you’ll receive an email with steps on picking out the photos you’d like in the book. You’ll also get to choose your cover, decide if you want a second book (hello, grandparents!), and whether you’d like to hand-pick the photos or leave it up to me.
The moment I receive your favorite photos and the completed questionnaire, I plunge into creating your book. I take care to ensure the book flows like a story, with every photo playing a part in the bigger picture. Generally, you can expect to have your book about 10 business days after you’ve submitted your favorite shots.
UTILIZING YOUR PRINT CREDITS AND BEYOND
First things first, let’s talk about your print credits that came with your package. You can easily find these in your gallery under “credits,” accessible in the top right-hand corner. From there, you have the freedom to choose which photos from our unscripted, heartfelt session you’d like for your complimentary prints.
But, why stop there? Our experience together is filled with raw, emotive moments that deserve to be celebrated and remembered in all their authenticity. With your gallery’s built-in store function, ordering additional prints, canvases, metal prints, and more is a breeze. Let’s turn every corner of your home into a tribute to your family’s story.
Every printed piece from your gallery represents my commitment to you – a commitment to high-quality, vivid color, and enduring memories. Photos are printed on professional paper with a standard archival value of 100 years in home display. This means your prints are not only stunning; they’re also designed to stand the test of time. If you’re looking for something a bit different, silk or metallic paper options are available upon request.
For black and white prints, I use special paper to bring out the depth of tones and avoid any strange tints.
And to make things even more exciting, any print 8 x 10 or larger comes with advanced editing. This ensures that every detail is perfectly in place when your memory takes its place on your wall. Stray hair, socks on the floor, or an odd mark on the wall? No worries, I’ll handle it.
