A common theme for all brides and grooms in 2020 has been adapt, pivot, and adjust. 2020 has really taken wedding planning to a whole new level of interesting, it’s safe to say. While this wasn’t the original wedding the couple had planned, they quickly pivoted, adjusted and adapted. An intimate Spokane wedding in the woods came together within days. I couldn’t be happier for the couple because this seemed like a perfect way to celebrate who they are together as a couple, and the journey they are starting as husband and wife.

The First Look
Sometimes simpler is better, and the ponderosa pines provided a clean, simple backdrop for a tear-jerking first look. It’s a delicate balance between capturing this moment and savoring it privately. Above all, it’s a chance to pause and spend some private moments together.
This wedding party was fun! When you tell the groomsmen to pretend you’re walking away from an explosion like an action movie, and they embrace it wholeheartedly, you know you’re going to love this group of humans. There were many smiles and laughs as everyone let go of the traditional poses for a few more fun images. However, fear not, we got serious ones too.
Wedding Party Shenanigans

The ceremony was super intimate and seemed to really capture the fun, sweet vibe of this couple. In addition to the wedding party, the couples’ fur-baby was even included! He pretty much slept through the entire ceremony.
I think my favorite part of the ceremony was the tying of the cord. As it seems like a cool way to represent your bond and strength as a couple.

Congrats to these two, and thanks for letting me be part of your day. A perfect, intimate, Spokane wedding.
